Why testing an instrument in the store still makes all the difference
These days, you can order a guitar online with a single click. Yet, many musicians find that an instrument only truly comes to life when you hold, hear, and feel it for yourself. At Stockenhof Muziek in Beek-Ubbergen, we help both beginner and experienced musicians find the right instrument every day. And that personal touch is often what makes the difference.
An instrument should suit you
Two guitars can have the exact same specifications on paper, but feel completely different while playing. The neck thickness, string tension, balance, and tone ensure that one instrument feels right immediately while another does not.
This applies not only to guitars, but also to:
• Digital pianos
• Drum kits
• Bass guitars
• Amplifiers
• Acoustic instruments
• Studio equipment
By testing different models side by side, you discover much faster what truly suits your playing style.
Personal advice from musicians
At Stockenhof Muziek, you won't get a standard sales pitch, but advice from people who are actively involved in music themselves. Whether you are looking for your first electric guitar, want to compare a new amplifier, or are debating between an acoustic or digital drum kit, we are happy to help you think it through.
For example, we look at:
• Your level
• Music style
• Budget
• Future growth
• Use at home, in the studio, or on stage
This often prevents a bad purchase and helps you get more enjoyment out of your instrument.
Orientate online, experience in-store
Many customers orientate themselves online first and then visit the store to compare instruments. That is often the ideal combination. You can browse models and compare specifications at your leisure online, while in the store you can hear and feel the difference immediately.
In addition, we can help directly with:
• Accessories
• Cables and stands
• Strings and drumsticks
• Maintenance products
• Amplifier settings
• Guitar setup
Also for guitar repair and maintenance
In addition to sales, you can also come to Stockenhof Muziek for guitar repair and maintenance. Think of setting up your guitar, replacing electronics, fretwork, or a complete service.
A well-adjusted guitar plays more comfortably, sounds better, and prevents frustration while practicing or performing.
