The 13" Evans HD Dry is a high-quality snare head specially developed for drummers who want a tight, dry, and controlled snare sound. Thanks to its two-ply construction, this head offers extra durability and a focused sound, while the coated finish provides a warm attack and a comfortable playing feel. This makes the snare head ideal for both powerful rimshots and subtle ghost notes.
Characteristic of the Evans HD Dry are the small vent holes around the edge of the head. These so-called "dry vents" shorten the sustain and reduce unwanted overtones, ensuring the snare remains tight and clear-sounding, even at high volumes. This makes this head particularly suitable for live performances and studio recordings in styles such as rock, pop, funk, and fusion.
Thanks to Evans Level 360 Technology, the head fits the snare shell perfectly, which makes tuning easier and ensures a consistent sound. The Evans HD Dry 13 inch is a reliable choice for drummers seeking maximum control and a professional snare sound.
