The 14'' Evans HD Dry is a professional snare head specifically designed for drummers seeking maximum control, focus, and a dry snare sound. This head combines a two-ply construction with an integrated overtone control ring, effectively reducing unwanted overtones without sacrificing punch and articulation. The coated finish provides a warm attack and a pleasant playing feel, ideal for both powerful backbeats and subtle ghost notes.
Unique to the Evans HD Dry are the precision-drilled vent holes around the edge. These "dry vents" shorten the sustain and deliver a tight, controlled sound that works perfectly in live situations and studio recordings. This makes this snare head very popular in styles such as rock, pop, funk, and gospel. Thanks to Evans Level 360 Technology, the head fits the snare perfectly, which makes tuning easier and ensures a consistent sound.
The Evans HD Dry 14 inch is an excellent choice for drummers who want a powerful, dry, and professional-sounding snare.
