The 16'' Evans Calftone is a professional bass drum head that offers a warm, deep, and natural sound, inspired by the classic calfskin tone. This single-ply 10-mil head is designed for drummers seeking a traditional, resonant tone with controlled attack, ideal for jazz, blues, pop, and fusion. The coated finish provides extra warmth and a pleasant playing feel, while the construction subtly controls sustain for a clear yet round sound.
Thanks to Evans Level 360 Technology, the Calftone head fits perfectly on the bass drum shell, making tuning easy and keeping the sound consistent across the entire surface. The head offers an optimal balance between punch and resonance, making every stroke sound rich and natural. The 16 inch Evans Calftone is suitable for both live performances and studio work, and is an excellent choice for drummers who want to combine the classic warm tone of a calfskin head with modern durability and reliability.
