Authentic piano experience in a streamlined design
The Medeli UP405E offers a true piano feel without unnecessary frills. Thanks to the 88-key Grand Action 3-sensor Premium (G3P) keyboard, it plays responsively and expressively, making it suitable for both beginners and advanced pianists. The 256-note polyphony ensures that every nuance of your playing is captured.
With a clear 256 x 64 OLED display and capacitive touch panel, you can effortlessly navigate through the 40 high-quality sounds. The built-in 2 x 25-watt amplifiers drive a four-speaker system (two 12 cm speakers and two 5 cm speakers) for a clear and balanced sound, whether you are practicing at home or playing for a small audience.
The keyboard: G3P keyboard (Grand Action 3-sensor Premium) – three sensors, escapement structure, progressive weighted key action, white keys with ivory look, black keys with matte surface, extended key length and pivot point. The G3P keyboard has been developed down to the smallest detail to replicate the nuance of a grand piano and offers the most advanced Medeli technologies in terms of material and construction, ensuring players of all levels have an authentic, pure, and rich playing experience.
Thanks to a special surface treatment process, the white keys gain a finely textured ivory look, while the black keys have a matte finish. This reduces light reflection while playing and simplifies maintenance.
An extended hammer lever simulates the touch feel of a grand piano because the distance between the key and the pivot point is greater. The keyboard features progressive weighting across the full 88 keys – heavier in the bass, lighter in the treble – just like an acoustic piano. There is also an escapement simulation, which mimics the gradually increasing and then suddenly decreasing resistance of a grand piano action. A three-sensor detection system ensures that a key does not need to fully reset before a note can be played again, which is ideal for fast trills and expressive playing.
