The VOX Tony Bruno TB18C1 is a unique 18-watt all-tube guitar amplifier, designed in collaboration with American boutique amp builder Tony Bruno. While many VOX amplifiers are known for their typical British character, the TB18C1 has a more American-oriented sound with great dynamics, warm mids, and a solid low-end.
The amplifier features a 12-inch Celestion G12-65 speaker and uses two 12AX7 tubes in the preamp and two 6V6 tubes in the power amp. The single-channel amplifier section is equipped with Volume, Bass, Middle, Treble, Reverb, and Master Volume. The Mid Boost and Dark switches allow the amplifier's character to be further customized. The Dark switch reduces high frequencies for a darker sound.
In addition, the TB18C1 features a serial effects loop and connections for external and additional speakers. The combination of tube dynamics, reverb, and extensive connectivity options makes this VOX interesting for blues, rock, country, and other musical styles.
